Job Description
Our client located in Milford, NH, is looking for a Director of Procurement to join their team. This direct hire position will have you working in the office Monday – Friday 8am-5pm and offers a competitive salary commensurate with skills and experience.

As the Director of Procurement your duties will include:
- Oversee purchasing
- Effectively manage inventory, quality, cost, and vendors to meet customer needs
- Mentor/develop staff
- Relationship building
- Act as subject matter expert and ensure strategy aligns with company goals
- Develop and implement processes to best support purchasing functions
- Collaborate with others to plan for and meet customer demand
- Evaluate supplier performance
- Identify supply chain improvements and monitor inventory
- Ensure company goals are met through metric tracking
- Develop and implement material strategy/execution plan
- Manage/maintain appropriate supply levels
- Vendor relations
- Proactively address issues
- Prepare materials budget and annual schedule/operations plan
- Participate with team regarding operational decisions and meeting company objectives
- Participate in purchasing meetings to solve problems
- Follow company policies/procedures
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve organizational goals
- Additional duties as assigned
Your qualifications for the Director of Procurement position:
- High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 10+ years master/planning/scheduling experience
- Previous contract manufacturing experience
- APICS certification preferred
- Demonstrated leadership and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and MRP/ERP systems
- Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
- Excellent math skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage change with new tools/programs
