Our client in Athol, MA is looking for an Accounting Specialist to join their team!

Your qualifications for the Accounting Specialist position are as follows:
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, may consider equivalent experience
  • 2+ years recent/relevant accounting experience
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite including advanced Excel ability
  • Oracle ERP system experience required
  • Solid math, clerical, and accounting skills
  • Audit experience
  • Excellent written/verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to research and analyze data
  • Experience with fixed assets accounting and mapping accounts

For the Accounting Specialist your duties will include:
  • Prepare/analyze/review financials
  • Assist with period close activities
  • Prepare/review general ledger and bank reconciliations to maintain accurate records
  • Utilize GAAP and internal accounting controls
  • Resolve accounting irregularities
  • Ensure accuracy of expense reports, loans, commissions, inventory, and accounts payable
  • Record income and expense transactions, journal entries
  • Support audit and budget/forecasting activities
  • Fixed asset accounting and balance sheet report/analysis
  • Provide support to other departments as needed
  • Other projects as assigned
