Job Description

Our client in Brattleboro VT, is looking an experience accounting professional to join their team. 

Your qualifications for the Accounting Specialist position are as follows:
  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of relevant accounting experience 
  • MRP/ERP Accounting Software experience 
  • Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite - specifically MS Excel 
  • Able to read and understand financial reports
  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles and regulatory requirements 
  • Solid problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively at a fast pace while managing multiple priorities under deadline
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
Benefits you will receive for the Accounting Specialist role:
  • Direct Hire opportunity 
  • Full time Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm 
  • Salary of $45,000 to $55,000 depending on experience

For the Accounting Specialist your duties will include:
  • Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions
  • Prepare daily deposits and document cash control
  • Update the general ledger 
  • Follow up on customer questions on payments/invoices 
  • Report sales and use taxes 
  • maintain accurate documentation
  • Adhere to local, state and federal requirements 
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments as needed 
  • Any additional duties as assigned
