Accounts Receivable and Collection Analyst

Our manufacturing client in Brattleboro VT has an immediate need for a temporary Accounts Receivable and Collections Analyst.  This full-time position is offering $16-$17/hour based on experience and expected to last 3-6 months.  

Duties of the AR / Collections Analyst:

  • Apply customer payments to the SAP AR ledger on a daily basis
  • Ensure sub-ledger reconciles with payments
  • Research any discrepancies
  • Review, analyze and follow up on any customer past-due balances
  • Notify management and sales of any ongoing aging issues
  • Analyze all deductions: shortages, spoilage, trades etc.
  • Ensure all deductions have proper back up documentation
  • Clear all deductions in the AR aging report and ensure SAP is current
  • Work with various departments to resolve short payments related to service issues
  • Facilitate a weekly AR and deductions update with the accounting leadership team
  • Complete other assigned tasks and projects as assigned

Qualifications of the AR / Collections Analyst:

  • Associates degree or HS Diploma and at least 2 years of recent and relevant accounting experience
  • Solid computer skills - Lotus notes e-mail/calendar, MS Office Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Experience with SAP 
  • Above average math skills
  • General understanding of accounting principles 
  • Good organizational skills - able to manage multiple competing priorities and meet deadlines as assigned
  • Able to professionally communicate and collaborate with other departments
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Prior accounting experience in a manufacturing setting a plus
