Job Description
Our manufacturing client in the Greenfield, MA area is looking for an Engineering Manager to join their team! This is a direct hire position that will have you working a full-time in office schedule Monday – Friday. This opportunity offers $80-$95+k depending on experience.
You will also be eligible for company benefits including health and dental insurance, paid time off, 401k, profitability bonuses, discounted company merchandise, and safety shoe reimbursement.
Your duties/responsibilities as the Engineering Manager include:
• Oversee daily engineering operations
• Design/Develop blueprints for parts, assemblies, and systems used in machine operation
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities through process improvement
• Hands on work to troubleshoot and teach
• Optimize production process and tooling
• Create SOPs and instructions
• Conduct performance testing
• Coordinate with others for QA and R&D
• Communication with clients/customers
• Act as project manager
• Ensure technical accuracy for projects
• Prepare department budget and negotiate with vendors
• Maintain current knowledge of best practices
• Supervise and develop engineering staff
• Collaborate with others to meet organizational goals
• Other projects as needed
Your skills/qualifications for the Engineering Manager position:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Master’s degree preferred
• 5+ years related engineering experience
• 1+ years leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Thorough understanding of engineering design/theory and applied math/physics
• Familiarity with AutoCAD 3D and Autodesk Inventor
• Excellent computer skills including MS Office Suite
• Proven leadership skills
• Understanding of GMPs, Health & Safety, Lean manufacturing, process troubleshooting
• Ability to supervise, coach and train associates
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Professional written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively and manage shifting priorities under deadline
• Strong work ethic and ability to lead by example
