Job Description

Our client, a growing company in Brattleboro, VT, is looking for a Facilities Manager to join their team!

Your qualifications for the Facilities Manager position are as follows:
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Equivalent industrial facilities management experience considered
  • Project management, construction, and supervisory experience
  • Solid understanding of electrical/mechanical, HVAC, water, air, gas, high voltage, and clean room systems
  • Knowledge of all faciility operations, procurement/contracts
  • Understanding of OHSA, ISO, health, safety, and environmental guidelines
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
  • Ability to read/interpret technical drawings/blueprints
  • Experience with facility/equipment relocations
  • Excellent troubleshooting ability
  • Good organizational skills
  • Professional verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work hours as needed for effective facility operations
  • Ability stand and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally during the shift

For the Facilities Manager position your duties will include:
  • Ensure safe and efficient facility operation
  • Plan and oversee preventive and other maintenance activities
  • Supervise, coach, and develop department employees
  • Manage continuous improvement and safety projects
  • Implement projects and develop procedures
  • Participate in budget management, develop/implement cost savings
  • Conduct facility inspections
  • Develop/implement facilities management program
  • Respond to alarms/system failures
  • Coordinate with vendors and negotiate contracts, verify completion and quality of work
  • Complete documentation as required
  • Collaborate with other management team members to achieve organizational goals
