Our client located in Turners Falls MA is looking to add an Human Resources Assistant to their team. This is a full-time temp-to-hire position offering $12-$15/hour depending on previous office and/or HR experience.
HR Assistant Duties:
- Organize and maintain personnel files
- Update and maintain employee data in the HR system
- Process new employment applications
- Support HR Manager with recruiting and on-boarding tasks
- Assist employees with questions regarding pay, benefits etc.
- Prepare HR reports as needed
- Administer employment testing
- Calculate wages and record data for payroll
- Assist with benefit administration tasks
- Prepare files and documentation for workers compensation claims
HR Assistant Qualifications
- HS Diploma
- At least 2 years professional office experience
- Previous experience in HR and/or payroll a plus
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality
- Professional written and verbal communication
- Good customer service skills
- Strong computer skills - MS Office programs
- Basic math skills
