HR Assistant

Our client located in Turners Falls MA is looking to add an Human Resources Assistant to their team.  This is a full-time temp-to-hire position offering $12-$15/hour depending on previous office and/or HR experience.  

HR Assistant Duties:

  • Organize and maintain personnel files 
  • Update and maintain employee data in the HR system 
  • Process new employment applications
  • Support HR Manager with recruiting and on-boarding tasks 
  • Assist employees with questions regarding pay, benefits etc.
  • Prepare HR reports as needed
  • Administer employment testing
  • Calculate wages and record data for payroll
  • Assist with benefit administration tasks
  • Prepare files and documentation for workers compensation claims

HR Assistant Qualifications

  • HS Diploma 
  • At least 2 years professional office experience
  • Previous experience in HR and/or payroll a plus
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality 
  • Professional written and verbal communication
  • Good customer service skills
  • Strong computer skills - MS Office programs
  • Basic math skills
