Job Description

Our client located just outside of Brattleboro, VT is looking for a Payroll & Accounting Assistant to join their growing team!

Your qualifications for the Payroll & Accounting Assistant position are as follows:
 
  • Associate degree in Accounting and 3 years’ relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
  • Proficient with data entry, MS Excel, with the ability to learn various accounting systems
  • Good organizational and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Benefits you will receive as the Payroll & Accounting Assistant:
 
  • $55K-$70K/year, depending on experience
  • Full-time, direct-hire opportunity
  • Comprehensive benefits package
For the Payroll & Accounting Assistant position your duties will include:
 
  • Process weekly payroll
  • Record deposits and prepare journal entries
  • Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Prepare tax documentation and W-2s
  • Manage insurance requirements
  • Prepare reports
  • Ensure regulatory compliance
  • Other tasks as assigned
