Our non-profit client located in Keene NH is looking for a part-time Social Services Coordinator to provide casework services to their clients including assistance with food, clothing, utilities and housing as well as coordinate referrals to local services for additional needs as appropriate.  This temp-to-hire opportunity is offering $12/hour to start with the possibility for an increase when converted to the client's payroll.  The part-time schedule is Tues-Fri 9am to 2:30pm.  

Social Services Coordinator Duties:

  • Conduct the application/intake process with potential clients to determine eligibility for assistance
  • Coordinate and provide assistance as warranted
  • Based on assessment make appropriate referrals to specific agencies/services
  • Make recommendations and referrals for social and developmental opportunities as appropriate
  • Maintain client records in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Collect and maintain demographic and statistical data to track all applications and assistance provided
  • Create and submit monthly reports for internal and external purposes
  • Coordinate and direct agency volunteers
  • Operate within an established budget
  • Assist with seasonal activities as directed (may require additional hours as needed)
  • Act as a liaison to other community services and organizations
  • Communicate needs and concerns to management
  • Complete KeepSAfe abuse risk management training 
  • Assist with projects and miscellaneous tasks as assigned

Socials Services Coordinator Qualifications:

  • One year of college, technical school or 3+ years of recent and relevant work
  • Experience in social services / helping profession is a plus
  • Good computer skills - MS Office Suite
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Pleasant customer service personality
  • Experience maintaining confidential information
  • Able to follow protocols yet know when to discuss and review exceptions
  • Compassion for people in need 
  • Knowledge of social services available in the greater Keene community is a plus
  • Professional written and verbal communication
  • Able to communicate with people from all different backgrounds
